WOW!!! That is funny - the sad thing is this very thought occured in my head too!

However, I'm going to have to disagree - they should have rounds, such as starting out with 10 and letting the top 4 go thru, then the top 2, and then a winner. Otherwise you might end up with a situation where you like several but only get to vote for one and then none of you "likes" go thru

Chizik's offseason workout probably had something to do with that. Makes me wish Chizik's staff were my personal trainers. Then again my 40 lbs I've lost so far is pretty good...

During that vote, it wouldn't be a bad time to have a server move or something. Would be nice for each person to vote on what they think, rather than being influenced by other's opinions.

I think the uniforms look fine...no navy blue so that is a huge plus. I am anxious to see these gold pants with our white jersey.

I would like the IOWA STATE on the front to be larger and I think stripes on the pants and shoulders is a great "classicly simple" touch that we should add. Then again, I think the LSU uniform is a great look!

I'm just glad the online poll is not going to decide the uniform for 08 and the athletic department has the final call...I think many of you have poor uniform taste!

When I was a Cyclone Aide (1984) we wore red pants with yellow shirts. We effectively avoided being confused with other students in for orientation. OK, so we had Khaki pants too, but the red ones were really obnoxious. I can handle good play in so so unis way better than playing and looking like crap on national TV. I like unique look, but also feel the pants are too plain. Of all the things I disliked Fry for at Iowa (can you say pink locker rooms?) I liked that when he went there he changed their unis to look like the Steelers because he wanted them to associate with Champions. Not sure we accomplished that with these.

Everyone please remember....These are temporary uniforms for THIS year only. There will be an online vote sometime this summer for us "fans" to help voice their opinion on which uniform design we like.

Pollard has stated that it was already too late to change the uniform design (jerseys) for this year. The pants look like a simple/standard Nike design with our logo embroidered on them. Very easy to create for this season. See link below for Pollard's comments.

For those of you that like the design that was just released, I wouldn't fall in love with them.

I like the ones with Iowa State spelled out better than just ISU. The helmets seem to be missing something for me, maybe they are a tad too plain for me.

Looks good overall though, simple and not garish.

I did submit the ones that said 'Iowa State' not 'ISU' on the jersey. I guess my goal with the helmet design was to make it simple so it could stand the test of time. Versus changing the helmet everytime our logo changed. The font is up to debate, I agree.

I also wanted something simple so people watching on TV knew who we were. Instead of "what's the deal with the bird in the blender?" And maybe the announcers would be less likely to call us the Iowa State Hawkeyes.
