We haven't been able to land any of the PF and Center talents that he has found early so far (Jon Leuer, Zeller, Breshers, Bergren, etc.). Iverson's recruiting seems to be blowing up. I hope we can land him. I would be frustrated if we lost him to Creighton.

Sounds like he is being recruited hard by New Mexico, Nebraska, and so me others. The atricle says that he is hearing a lot from other schools. He was at UNM elite camp. He has a connection with one of Alford's assistants. Iverson's dad was a NBA draft pick. I hope we get him but I think a replay of the previous players might occur.

Captain, beware of your Superbowl. |

Edit: One other thing to consider, is that Wisconsin only has one more scholarship left for 2008. So no matter if they sign Gibbs or Markolf, hopefully it will put us high on the list for the other.

Greg Monroe was not in attendance for Helen Cox (he was apparently at some Nike sponsored camp) so the class of the tournament was Peabody. They tend to have a couple of DI prospects every year and this year appears to be no different. They had a guard that reminded me of Gary Thompkins from the mid 80s (both in appearance and style of play).
I would really like to see our coaches could open up a pipeline to Louisiana because the HS basketball here is tremendous. After LSU fills its quota there are plenty of kids to go around that end up having success elsewhere...DJ Augustin (Texas), Martin Zeno (Texas Tech), Chris Duhon (Duke), Donald Perry (Indiana), Ryan Francis (USC), etc.
The top guys in the state this year (after Greg Monroe) appear to be Terrance Henry, Storm Warren, and Brandon Moore. |
I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

“I’m just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard,” Eustachy joked. “If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, he’ll be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.” http://blogs.dmjuice.com/?cat=43 |

Wisc. has 8 players on scholarship that are 6'7" or taller. Included are Berggren, Nankivil and Leuer. I can't see Markoff competing for playing time here, these were all top 100 recruits.
