There was some VERY noticeable rotation in the clouds right over central Ames, and a hint of a funnel cloud beginning to form, but I don't think it ever got farther than that. The windspeed (on the ground, blowing in my face) was absolutely frightening, though- I was leaning forward at a 50-degree angle and still not falling over...
