Girl loses her feet at Six Flags

Girl's feet severed on ride at Six Flags in Kentucky - CNN.com
CNN says girl was 16
Many of the local Kentucky web sites at 13.

I can't even begin to imagine a fun day at Six Flags turning out like this

Re: Girl loses her feet at Six Flags

jeez, that must just be liberal media hyperbole! Did she really lose her feet or were they found nearby simply severed from her body? Let's not get carried away here.

Re: Girl loses her feet at Six Flags

I'd like to hear more about this after the investigation. I've ridden a ride just like that one at Cedar Point, and its tough for me to invision a scenario where this could happen. I understand that a cable could snap, but if I remember right, the cables are enclosed within the middle of the tower.

I'm hoping to see some pics of the failed area of the ride. Very curious.

This will definitely make me think twice about getting on one of those rides again. Adventureland's Space Shot is nearly the same thing, only shooting up instead of dropping down.
