I guess there is a tornado on the ground near Woodward. Some of our workers saw it and radioed in.

Partly cloudy here in Des Moines but I do see it a little darker to the NW.

Basically the same in Grimes...although it seems to be rolling in here.

Where the hell did this storm come from? The radar was blank an hour ago!

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

The storms have shifted southeast. Boone County's warning just expired, but Polk and Dallas just declared warnings. The Weather Channel is basically focusing entirely on Des Moines and Ames. Looks like the storms are heading straight for the metro, with multiple occurrences of rotating clouds- have fun, anyone who's down there!

Holy crap- Basset, NE got hail the size of baseballs! Dear god, those things are huge... Pull your cars under shelter...

If that were true, wouldn't it make sense for the purple to be navy blue?

This would be a great idea for a billboard. You could have a map similar to this one with weather cells of various strength like this one. However, the outline of the strong cells would roughly form "punching cy".
