Lindy's has Bowen ranked as the third best outside linebacker in the country but he is not on the 1st or second team all-american list. They also have Bowen listed as the Big 12 Defensive player of the year. Bowen is the only player on the preseason all big 12 teams Blythe didn't even make it.

After last year Blythe does not deserve to be on the list. Does he have the potential, hell yeah he does. Will he show it on the field this year???? Boy I sure hope so, that guy is special when he gets it going. If nothing else this year, I would love to see lots of long balls to Blythe.

Good. Perhaps with Blythe and Meyer getting "snubbed" this year - instead of spending all of summer reading how good they are - that will motivate them and the rest of the team.

With exception of Bowen - no one else really had a great or even good individual performance last season.

We play our best football when the nation is ripping on us and ignoring our talent. So, I welcome these articles.

Time to stir the pot. I don't see Blythe as a team oriented player. He may be in for a rude awakening with Chiz this year. I've noticed things like he only seems to run sideline routes, doesn't put much effort into blocking, and doesn't attempt to tackle during interceptions. He also commented before last season that he was NFL bound. Statistically and athletically, he is great; and "The Catch" during the Toledo game was awesome, but I get the feeling that he's only looking out for number 1.

Ahh come on... Blythe is a great team player, his past quotes show he is dedicated to this team. I think his attitude on the field was more upset with losing that being self centered.

I think most of the problem with Blythe is Meyer was running for his life last year, and if that is not fixed, nothing on offense will work.

If Bowen weighed 20 pounds more, he would have been first team. He needs to go 240 to be the stud linebacker that usually gets picked. Think Boz.
