Season tickets site under construction
Did anyone esle notice that the season ticket site under construction right now and people have to mail in their season ticket request. The phone are even limited right now. This is not the best time for this but I guess they are trying to get it done before the final push starts.

I guess there is a new ticket system going in to place. The guy I get tickets with could not get info on his tickets last week, and was told to call back.

Supposedly there was a new "donor management" system going in as well. It would allow you to manage your NCC membership, points, payments, etc.
Of course, I was told that they hoped to have it in this past winter/spring.

Re: Season tickets site under construction
I went in to the ticket office about two weeks ago to purchase tickets. They told me they were transitioning to a new server and were having issues with the transition. The girl at the counter, and a guy sitting in an office behind her seemed to have no clue as to when the issue would be resolved.

Re: Season tickets site under construction
They are just trying to turn people away because they are afraid that they will sell out of season tickets too fast.

Re: Season tickets site under construction
I thought I read that they were going to use Ticketmaster to handle ticket sales.

I'd have to think if it were Ticketmaster, it would've gone much more smoothly than it apparently has. Been over a week now, hasn't it.
I suggested they use TicketReturn (.com). It's what the I-Cubs and Drake use. Allows you to enter in your number of tickets and general seating area or specific section, then gives you best available. But then it allows you to view the section, see what seats are taken, which are available and then you can unselect your assigned seats and choose what seats you want. Whereas you have to try, try and try again to get what you want beyond what you are given with the current system or Ticketmaster.
At least for the I-Cubs, they charge a $1 convienience charge.

What were the fees?

Re: Season tickets site under construction
So it was a season ticket & other football order charge?
That doesn't seem so bad - same as before right?

Re: Season tickets site under construction
Nope DaddyMac, I read it from a news source, the Wall Street Journal. I'm a writer in a public affairs office; I'd never go with someone "spitballing." Iowa State University Moves Ticketing Operations to Ticketmaster - WSJ.com -
Re: Season tickets site under construction
Good find mstyle. So if they are going to scan each ticket on the way in, can we have actual attendance numbers announced instead of the overhyped numbers? It always kills me when they announce 47,000 as the attendance when 1/2 the upper deck is empty.
