    I like the Name Skywalkers Also, But

    A radio talkshow host mentioned there was a problem with the name skywalkers because of trademark conflict with Star Wars Luke Skywalker. Not sure if that is true or not. Seems like a pretty broad use of a trademark.

    Asked if the nickname controversy was simply a publicity stunt to drawattention to the team, Crawford only laughed.
    He should talk to Pollard about pulling stunts, because that one sucked eggs. Even if it wasn't, it just shows a lack of authority on his part.

    So let me get this straight- two days before they're going to announce the new team name, they pull the entire list of finalists, and still plan on announcing the name and logo on Friday? That makes me really hope that this whole thing was just a planned publicity stunt, and they actually have had an awesome name and logo secreted away for weeks now...

    That's what i'm putting my money on. I wonder if any team in the NBADL has had this much publicity without playing a single game.
