Dennis Gibson - Encore Pizza

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but we took the family to Encore Pizza the other night. It's owned by Dennis Gibson, one of the best LBs in Cyclone history behind Matt Blair. Pretty good pizza if you like thin crust. Don't know how receptive he is to talking up ISU, but he's been in the restaurant every time we've been in there.

Where is this Encore Pizza located. Sounds like a place I would be interested in checking out sometime.

Encore has great pizza. I actually didn't realize the ISU connection, but have talked to the owner (Gibson) every time I've been in there.

If you're out in Johnston sometime, check the place out.

Last time I seen him he was still with SD and back for Vieshea, the year of the first big riot, I think. He taped the whole thing. It was funny seeing this big guy in middle of everything with his camera rolling. I do not think he had to worry about anyone giving him crap. I would bet that this is the best tape of that night, he had the camera going the whole night not just during the riot. We talked to him and he said he was taping so the guys could watch it during preseason camp and no one was going believe it.

DG is a cool guy. I met him at a tailgate a couple of years ago. He's nice and gracious and probably wouldn't mind talking ISU.

I like the pizza a lot. They've got good onion rings, too.
