ISU loses out on 2010 recruit....
He's from the same prep school that Marcus Brister attended... Top 25 Sophomore Headed to Kentucky :: K.C. Ross-Miller from 2010 class to be a Wildcat Top 25 Sophomore Headed to Kentucky K.C. Ross-Miller from 2010 class to be a Wildcat July 1, 2007 By Van Coleman CSTV.com & Hoopmasters.com The No. 24 player in the Class of 2010, 6-foot point ard K.C. Ross-Miller from God's Academy in Dallas, has decided to commit to the Kentucky Wildcats. We caught up with Ross Miller and his father Tim Miller this morning right after he had given his commitment to Billy Gillespie and Kentucky after visiting the Lexington campus over the weekend. "Yeah, I committed to Kentucky," Ross-Miller said. "Basically, it is everything I'd wanted. It's a perfect fit for me. "I've known Coach Gillespie for a long time, he offered me at [Texas] A&M, and I've really gotten to know him, and he knows me. He shoots me straight and I trust him in what he sees in me and my ability to play at Kentucky." His father and current coach agreed that the relationship between Ross-Miller and Kentucky just fits. "He's known coach Gillespie since the seventh grade, he was offered a scholarship at A&M as an eighth grader, and has really built a special relationship with coach and his staff," Miller explained. "Now he's at one of the nation's great programs, there's such great tradition, Rupp Arena, and those great Wildcat fans, it just felt like the right place for K.C." Ross-Miller averaged 20 points and 10 assists for God's Academy last winter leading them to a 27-3 record and a fourth place finish at the NACA Nationals. He is a solid passer who distributes the rock extremely well for a point of his age. He had the advantage of playing with a number of mid and high major players at God's Academy, so he's honed his skills with the type of talent he's going to play with in the future. And he's not going to rest on his laurels now that he's committed to Kentucky. "K.C. needs to work on his defense," Miller explained. "Plus he needs to continue to build consistency on his outside jumper, as well as add explosion (athletically)." "I know I have a lot of time now to continue to get better," Ross-Miller echoed. "I have to continue to work on my strength and improve all my skills if I want to be successful at Kentucky. I still have lots of room to improve." Ross-Miller chose Kentucky over interest from Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Indiana, Arizona, Iowa State, and a number of other schools. He joins Dakotah Euton, a 6-foot-7 forward from Ashland, Ky. in the Wildcat class of 2010. Some people wear Superman pajamas. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas. -

That's OK, I'd rather have Harrison Barnes.

I am going to go with the "we did not want him anyway" story. I was going to go with "we stopped recruiting him for someone else" gig. I used that last time though.

But a top 25 (5-star) kid sure would look good feeding the ball to Dykstra.

Right now, I'm more interested in what we're doing to bolster our front court. Don't get me wrong, I'll take a 5* at any position. However, I really want to get some solidly built big men, even if McDermott has to groom them.
