Kobayashi vs. Chestnut is on Tomorrow

They had a stare down at the weigh in today. Chestnut called him out like a boxer. This stuff is great. I love when people take non sports to the next level and don't care what anyone thinks.

What they can do is gross and amazing and gross again. Its just wrong, but I cant turn away. Eating a hot dog with a sloppy wet bun just makes me gag. I also watched a buffalo wing eating contest and man I had to give that guy credit. I ate 30 one time and I thought that was alot. Havent done it since.

Harriet Michaels: Do you actually like haggis?
Charlie Mackenzie: No, I think it's repellent in every way. In fact, I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare.

I was going to rag on this thread for taking the "sports" theme of this board to a new pathetic low, but then I realized that I'd forgotten about all the fervent NASCAR discussion that takes place.

My apologies. Carry on.

What do you mean non sports?? This is a ESPN article, right?? ESPN only broadcasts sports related events right??

11:00 sharp. Nathans best advertising campaign ever conceived.

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

I thought Kobayashi had a 'career threatening' jaw injury...

I am embarrassed to admit that I actually look forward to watching this event...kind of like slowing down to look at an accident!

Much as I want Chestnut to bring the title back to the states...I am a little concerned that Kobayashi cannot be beaten at this stage of his career. However, if he truly has arthritis of the jaw, it could be career ending for him. We shall see today.

By the way, Kobayashi makes well into the 6 figures as a professional eater! I believe Johnsonville paid him $15,000 plus travel expenses just to show up for the brat contest last year in Wisconsin!

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Hey, don't bash the Nathan's contest. It's a great tradition and obviously has caught on the past few years. I'm not about to say that eating is a sport or that these guys are athletes, but it's d*mn good entertainment!

66-63. Sounds like a UNI-ISU basketball score.

In rank order...
(1) Points in an Arena Football League game
(2) Hot dogs consumed by Chestnut and Kobayashi
(3) Points in a WNBA game

Kobiyashi threw up after seconds after the contest.

Imagine telling your grandkids tha you can eat 66 hotdogs faster than anyone.

Was this aired in Africa also?
