Barry Stevens' kid...

Mid-Iowa Newspapers - Grayer hopes fans recall Stevens, glory days

Noticed in this article that Barry Stevens kid, Darious, was at our Elite Camp this year.

Re: Barry Stevens' kid...

That would be cool to have Darius Stevens and Harrison Barnes on the same team. It would give me some good memories.

And it would make me feel very old.

I knew that Grayer dated Barry's sister Rhonda and that was one of the connections that helped Johnny get him out of Michigan, but I had always wondered if they got married. From this article it is apparent that they did.

Nobody had a stroke like Barry, and he had range. He loved to take it all the way into the corner and shoot. I can't imagine how many 3 pointers he would have had if the rule would have been in effect in his time.

He was 2 years younger than me and it was obvious from the first exhibition game I saw him play that he was going to elevate our program to places it had never been before.

I'll walk up and buy tickets for the game because we owe it to Barry-he and Johnny invented the Magic

Mind the gap!

Yes, these stories can certainly make one feel old.

If his son can play like the old man...we need to get him locked up!

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Imagine if Horny would have had a 3 point line every year there. Sully would not own the three point record. Hornacek would have it.
