1. I enjoy CF because it's free. Shouldn't have to pay $/month for sharing opinions.
2. I enjoy CF because it doesn't have hard recruiting news. I can't stand the idea of paying money to learn what some 17-year-old boy is thinking.
3. I never trusted Rivals enough to give them my credit card. I didn't think I'd ever get it back.

Man, you're lucky. Talk to my wife about the stuff we talk about here? I might as well be talking to my dog. I'd get about the same response.
Actually by that I meant that you all only pay attention to 1% of what I say, kinda like my wife. But she lurks on here, so she pretty much knows all about this stuff. Maybe she is just checking up on me though.

Honestly, I don't really care about recruiting news. I never go to scout/rivals because that is all they talk about. I really could care less about prospects until they are on campus. I trust the coaches to make those moves, plus I used to follow it, and it was just too depressing when you see all the could have beens never make it, or chose someone else at the last min.

We all know that you are here for the NASCAR updates.

Where is this "press release" Miller is talking about?

And I don't think anyone takes you seriously until you hit 7,000 posts.

CF does rock.

As far as those other guys, if I was forced to give $99 to one of the two in-state scout.com boards - I'd probably give it to HN.com.

Re: Marty and Miller

This from DaddyMac.

This just announced

In light of Marty Tirrell's betrayal of his super-secret plan in this afternoon's drive home program on KXNO, Jamie Pollard regretably announced that single game tickets WILL BE SOLD for the iowa/Iowa State game.

Pollard stated, "I can't believe it, thought I had everyone duped. But I have to give credit to the genious that is and forever will be known as Marty Tirrell"

Pollard went on to lay out the single game prices of $350 for most sections, $195 for a select number of seats on the edge of the stadium, or $150 for SRO hillsides.

Pollard went on to say, "we thought we offered, what we considered to be, a good deal on season tickets. But under continued pressure from Tirrell, we decided to relent, not let Jack Trice Stadium to remain empty with possibly as many as 10,000 seats, and offer a single game ticket."

"Our initial plan was to offer a special promotion of 'buy an iowa single game ticket, get 6 games for free', but decided that Marty would see right through it for the scam that it is. In the end, we decided to take our lumps, admit our insincerity and offer a stand alone, single game ticket"

Pollard concluded by offering the apology - "We hope our fan base understands the need for this sudden change in Iowa State athletics policy."

Better to be hated for who you are, than beloved for who you're not.

To our shock a number of our listeners thought it was legit...
Please publically post the names and contact information for those who thought the fake press release was legit, so that we can give them the public humiliation they so deserve...

Re: Marty and Miller

Well, with the exception of JP's high praise for Marty (um, yeah - right), technically nothing is inaccurate in the "release".

And Jamie told me as much.
