They're going to kentucky for some horse racing thing...

Local horse owner and attorney, Maggi Moss, has a chance to break a record at Churchill Downs I believe.

Do you think that their audience really cares?

I hardly doubt it!! Does their audience really care about half the crap that spews out of their mouths??

Ken isn't so bad, but listening to Marty is worse that finger nails on a chalk board. All he does is try to pick fights and start arguments

Personally, I think they are quite entertaining. If you don't take everything they say so serious, they are pretty funny.

I've said it before, there is a cycle you must go through while listening to Marty and Miller:

Weeks 1-2: Extreme hatred and annoyance.
Weeks 2-4: A white-hot hatred. You yell at the radio everytime one of them opens his mouth.
Weeks 4-6: Numbness. You just don't understand why you can't turn off the radio.
Weeks 6+: Enjoyment.

It's not so bad, I've went through it.

Re: Marty and Miller

I've been stuck on weeks 4-6 for about 10 months now, with lapses back to weeks 2-4 when Mart really gets going.

I was there when they crucified my Lord
I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword
I threw the dice when they pierced his side
But I've seen love conquer the great divide

The fact that you call him "Mart" shows me that you listen to the show quite often.

That laugh. Man. When he takes a breath in is that considered inward laughing?

Re: Marty and Miller

Um, well, ahhhh, well - typos happen, yeah that's it. My "(why)" doesn't work .... Damn!

Let's just say I listen not necessarily by choice and flip the channel often. The station is on KXNO when I leave work and it's 10-15 minutes home. But otherwise, yes, I listen daily and when Deace is on some rant

Truth be told - I don't mind Ken. And further more, I think Marty probably wouldn't be a bad guy to know. That bus trip (if I were a Brewers fan) would probably be blast to go to with those guys. However, I think most of us realize that he isn't what would be considered an "expert" on anything he talks about, but instead just says stuff to get people riled up and fill 3 hours a day. And I don't care for that kind of "shock jock" method of talk radio.

Re: Marty and Miller

Clear Channel changed up the way they stream KXNO's shows online, and now my stream recorder doesn't work with the new setup. None of them do now. I work 10-7 so now I miss both shows in the afternoon when I was able to listen to him after work before. I've already whined to Clear Channel, but its a company wide thing now, I guess.

As said, they are entertaining as long as you don't take them too seriously at times. Ken is great to listen to (except for the Broncos thing), and Marty is funny as hell, should be fun to watch him eat his words on the ticket issue.

Re: Marty and Miller

My interest in Jon Miller's show has really dropped the last few weeks. I was a big fan boy for his show in the winter, but damn lately it's two hours of nothing. Marty and Miller has been very good lately. I agree with that cycle the poster above said about their show. I'm definitely luvin it now and can't wait until they have football to talk about.

I usually listen to Deace from 630-700 after M&M are out. His topics bore me usually, but he's not too shabby to listen to.

I think they are pretty entertaining as long as they are not talking about the single most boring thing in the world. Betting on horses. I really don't care that Soon to be Glue is a 5-1 in the 5th race. Or Dog food here I come is 12-1 in the 8th.

Deace would be ok to listen to if it were on more than 20 min an hour. That show has more commercials that the super bowl.

Re: Marty and Miller

Marty and Miller have really won my attention over with their interviews with Swenson about high school football. That just gets me excited for some reason. Jon Miller had a funny 80's one hit wonder segment today.

Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

"The New England Patriots: As annoying as the Yankess, just with 23 fewer titles."
