Marty and Miller

I just tuned into 1460 and the first two words I heard was cyclonefanatic...ok one word. Anyways, did anyone listen prior to that and know the context? Just curious. Thanks!

Re: Marty and Miller

They talked about CF last week. Basically said it was the best cyclone message board, which I agreed with totally.

Wow, no#$%#$%#$% you're right! haha Marty and Miller have planned a conspiracy! Well I spent time on Cyclone nation and felt like an outsider the whole time there. Not to bash the site, but some of their posters would say things like "we're not taking you serious til you've had 1000 posts." Yahoo for CF!

No one here takes you seriously unless you have 16.44 posts per day for like a year and a half.

There's a lot of sites like that. I've even seen it here. I could be Gene Chizik himself coming on a message board to talk about the team and people would discount it because I don't have 1000 posts.

Re: Marty and Miller

What is the significance of 1000 posts? That you are a dork with no life? Wait what?

Re: Marty and Miller

I laughed out loud when reading Daddy Macs fake "press release" concerning Pollard having to back track after "admitting' Marty had figured him out. I sent Daddy Mac a message and let him know that if I had the chance I was going to read what I thought was a clever post on our show.
As it turned out Marty had seen it, loved it, and we made it sound like a release from ISU.
To our shock a number of our listeners thought it was legit...

The original post by DMac likely can still be found but I have to pack as we're off Friday and have an early plane.

I hope this clears it up.

Re: Marty and Miller

I, for one, enjoy the objectivity of most of the individuals on this board. Everyone's open to opinions, then gives their own about others' opinions. It's a great round-about. This is a great, great message board.

I hope that made sense...

Re: Marty and Miller

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get to 1000 posts when you spend all day lurking in the shadows?

There's no significance in 1000 posts... I've got 1100-something, and I still feel like 90% of those go ignored.

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

I think I am some where around 99%, most of the time I feel like I am talking to my wife on here.

I've was lurking the boards when the only message board was on the sportsonly.com website and Tim Floyd was roaming the sidelines. I think if you total all my posts from, CN, CF, and CR it would be just over 1,100.

I only have only 9??some odd posts, since last year, and I pretty much live here. Well, at least while I'm at work.

Man, you're lucky. Talk to my wife about the stuff we talk about here? I might as well be talking to my dog. I'd get about the same response.

Re: Marty and Miller

I love CF....there are enough die hard cyclone fans out there like me that will at least entertain something stupid I've said. Like for example I would love to see Cy kick a field goal next year during a timeout!!
