For a guy that has over 7000 posts on a board called Cyclonefanatic, I find your quote about selling your tickets to be quite disturbing.

If someone contemplating whether or not to sell tickets to an over-hyped game where he could nearly pay for all four season tickets buy selling one game in favor of watching it at home with a handful of his good friends disturbs you - then so be it. I couldn't care less.

Most likely we'll be there, because we haven't missed a game in 4+ years. But I'll be hard pressed not to take the money if offered a sizable sum.

Your obsession (and the obsession of a few others) over posts is a bit...well...disturbing.

After re-reading DaddyMac's press release I have a thought. Would there be Hawk fans that out of spite would not be willing to buy season tickets, but be willing to pay the same price for a single game. That would be a win for us since we could sell the remaining games as singles. Probably not worth the hassle, just thinking out loud.

Better to be hated for who you are, than beloved for who you're not.

I still come back to this, the day I can call the UI ticket office and get 2 seats to the ISU game is the day I say Pollard is wrong. What you can't get single game tickets to the Iowa City game?

They probably wouldn't be smart enough to figure out that those were the season ticket prices any ways!!!

cyclones1, have you thought about giving them away to your favorite CycloneFanatic poster for free?

By the way, that's a really nice shirt you're wearing today. I like it! :)

I totally agree. None of us would have been able to just call them up last year for a ticket.....why should we make our tickets readily available for them? It comes back to the sense of entitlement that the Squawk fans have always had. Unfortunately, some Cyclone fans have empowered them by selling their tickets to them.

Yep, and besides, all of the tickets would have been scooped up by NCC members, so unless you had a friend to buy them for you, you were not going anyway.

I hope that wasn't you selling them; $85/ticket is pretty cheap. Heck, UI boosters have to pay $90/ticket for their allotment of 4,000! Wait a little bit longer- close to the game, they'll probably hit at least $150, if not much higher. (It's hard to tell what JP's new rule will do to supply and demand.)

I think it would be smart to unload upper level seats now while there's still hype from JP's plan. After he goes to plan B and releases single game tickets, the value of those upper levels become nothing special.

Your friend,

Marty,

You continue to not to listen what I am telling you. The Iowa single game tickets will not be available to anyone, especially you.

Sincerely,

J.P.
