I have a 4GB Nano and a 60GB iPod. Love em both! The nano is used for working out and the video iPod for everything else... if you figure out how to get shows and movies in great quality on there, it's really cool. You may not think you'd watch much video on a small screen but it really does come in handy. Plus, I use both as portable hard drives which is nice considering I download a lot of TV shows and movies, and back up all my photos.
As for browsers, I still don't understand this firefox craze, and I'm an IT guy. IE7 blows away the competition (ease of use, favorites, and the best at tabbed browsing, and I never get popups, ever)
I've tried Safari for Windows and HATED IT. I also read a really good article the other day about why Safari sucks, good read :-) Of course the only thing I like from Apple is their MP3 players, so I'm a little biased!
Here's the link to the Safari article... 10 Reasons Not to Use Safari on Windows | | |

Like i said, Safari is not bad. I use IE7 99 percent of the time. I like to toy now and then and Safari has been my recent toy. Im in IT as well. We all like to toy, no? I do like Opera the best out of the non-IE's. I use it on my Wii as well. =)

Besides, aren't Mac computers nowdays basically PC's (Intel processor with a PCI bus) running a buggy GUI sitting on top of Unix?

I'm not a big fan of Apple in general but I'm on my second Ipod and I've been happy with Itunes (on Vista and XP). Just because you use Itunes doesn't mean that you have to buy songs from them if you don't like.
I have an older 20gb Ipod and it does everything I need it to. It's reliable, plays music, you can get about any accessory you want, etc. What else do you need it to do?
My wife has the really small $79 shuffle. It would be excellent if you just wanted something for running but I use mine mostly in the car and I want to be able to pick and choose which songs I want to hear on the fly. I have no urge to watch a 2inch LCD movie so I have no need to buy the Ipod video.
People always want to hate the top dog. If the Ipod wasn't a solid player they wouldn't have sold so many for so many years.

I run my home stereo from Rhapsody now, and with the Sansa, I can take Rhapsody music with me wherever I go.
My question to you is this: what do you need to do with 99% of your music that you need it in mp3 format or on cd that can't be done with a portable Rhapsody player? Everyone has different needs, I'm just curious.

Well, I don't know if I'd call their GUI buggy - especially when you consider the alternative Windows.
In computer speak - probably a combination of preferenece to pc and just better availablity of options of hardware and software in the market. I know graphics person love them - otherwise, I don't really have much use for a Mac.
In the accessories market (IPod and such) - too proprietary. Apple products work with Apple products and that's about it. You pretty much have ITunes to get your music from, you can play it on your Pod - so my PDA was useless, etc and so on. You can play MP3 just about anywhere.
I used to be a complete Sony hack too. Now I'm growing a bit of a disdain for them as well.

IE7...
Does it have a built-in spell checker? Ad block feature that allows me to right click on any image, block it and it will never display again?
I could come up with more...

Spell checker for what? And why would you want to block images? You know you love the nudies!

Any text boxes I type into, Firefox will spell check on the fly, just as Word does.
Ironic that Firefox stole a feature from a software company that has yet to implement it into their own web browser.
As far as blocking images - I can block any of those annoying web banners as long as they are static. I could block the ads here, yet when I refresh the page - a new one appears in the same place because it's dynamic. I could block the CF logo however, in the event I didn't want someone to know what site I was on.
Or I could block signature images, etc, etc.
