After watching it, I'm thinking it wasn't a case of they didn't see it. It looked intentional and if it was, how stupid do you have to be? They probably broke nearly every bone they have. At that speed, you might as well be on Concrete.

I believe, if I heard correctly in a different news report, that they did basically hit concrete, as I think the spillway bottom is concrete and the water is very shallow there...

I think it went the other way around. From the picture, it looks like the wife was driving.

The conversation was probably:

Husband: Dammit, you're going the wrong way.
Wife: Shutup, I didn't ask for your help. I know what I'm doing.

I don't have pics or a link, but there was a similar boat aground at Saylorville Thursday or Friday morning. A boat almost cleared a rock jetty where Cherry Glen Beach normally is. (when water is at normal level)

I spent pretty much all of Wednesday thru Saturday on the water, so I'm not sure on the date. It all melted into one event:Dizzy:

Did you find this when trying to find news on Mike Taylor the basketball player?

"Mark Brotchtrup, who captured the crash on tape, called 911, and then he and Mike Taylor, another witness, helped rescue workers find the couple in an area overgrown by weeds."

If you were we seriously need to find something to do this summer.

I "found" this because I live in the area where this event took place, and it was shown on the local newscasts for about 3 days straight. Frankly, I didn't even notice the Mike Taylor reference.

But thank you for your concern about my summer...
