Update

Just a litte update from a convo i had with a buddy of mine on the team.. he said that the team is going to be "raw" this year, which is good. for those that were worried, Bibbs and Franklin are both in ames, Bibbs was also quoted on being "raw" and Franklin has hops, as he dunked it over LB Jon Banks when the players were playin Bball for fun. Allen Bell is the fastest on the team in 40 and shuttle, and JJ Bass is "The best back out there, he cuts and shifts like a f*ckin razorblade"

I generally don't consider "raw" to be a good thing. Thanks for the information, though.

Raw, I'm glad you said that was a good thing. I've never heard that one before.

If Bell is good in the 40 AND the shuttle, is he our assumed kr/pr?

Doesn't JJ have the size to run over people along with those razorblad moves as well?

JJ is around 210, so yeah he has got some size, Raw in other persons terminology is a good thing, Like raw skills... eh im not even going to try to explain it.. ITS GOOD...

Do you mean raw as slang for good? I interpreted it as the opposite of polished. Like we're a work in progress, which I wouldn't doubt is true.

its slang for good.... Which im sure is hard to judge at this point, but apparently were looking better in practice now than we did last year. which yes, thats good

How do the O and D lines look compared to last year? If they're looking better, we may be in for a better than expected season...

when say "raw" I would think it means that they have raw talent(naturally athletic), they just need some coaching.

BTW. I am a CR subscriber and do not get half of the inside that isuclones33 gives. Thanks Paul should put you on the payroll.

I believe if our D is better than expected (which is possible with Bell on the field and Chizik coaching) and the O-line can hold it's own, the 'Clones will have a solid year. Maybe stating the obvious, but my 2¢...

I think our LB's will be WICKED AWESOME. BBB, Bowen Banks n Bibbs! our DB's will be good and deep with the addition of Bell. Bell can be the shutdown corner weve had the last couple years with HobbsIII and DJack. Im only worried about our Dline. Who will start? Parker and Tuba probably, but who else?

No problem guys, I use to be an avid Cyclone Reporter, until Paul decided to make everything premium members only, I contribute already to the cyclone athletic department, and i have some pretty good buddies on the team and ties with coaches so why pay for a subscription. Anyhow, Doug Dedrick is looking good i hear so thats great news for the O Line and ill see what i can find out about the D Line, i know that alot of players have been sifting through positions on the D line and nothing is even close to being final. Two a days will determine alot for both of the lines. Needless to say, i think we are in excellent hands, i get nothing but praise from the players on how much they like these coaches, no matter how much they are getting worked out. Coach Shep is an outstanding strength coach and he and torre becton can also man handle just about anyone on the team, and the fact is, Becton can run his 40 pretty dang fast for an old fellla. Also Coach Bolt can make anyone laugh, and when the guys can have a laugh at practice, it keeps the morale up.
