Just an FYI, the changes they're putting in are cosmetic to make the site more appealing. Before, the graphics were all a little oversized and not incredibly professional looking so they're trying to make it look more modern and less "tacky". |

I really don't understand why this site would be under construction.
At past and current jobs, new site designs were done in house and then launched with no downtime to client or customers.....
There may be something else going on here....

EDIT: If the 'preview' link is any indication, the 'new' site isn't Firefox friendly.

they goto all that work and still can't get it to fit on a 1024x768 sized screen right.
While it still looks good, it shows their webmaster sucks .

Media Relations
AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State University Athletics Department welcomes you to the re-design of its official site, cyclones.com. The technological conversion took place Tuesday and our staff will be working diligently in the coming days to get all functions operating efficiently. We thank you, in advance, for your patience.
The new design is easier to navigate, provides a number of promotional opportunities and a host of new elements. It is our hope that cyclones.com remains, or becomes, your top source for the latest on the Cyclones.
By utilizing some of the latest technologies, our site will now offer (beginning this fall) a photo store, an auction tool for coveted ISU memorabilia, a more integrated online store, and a mobile store features ringtones, video clips and wallpapers and will eventually include podcasts and score / text alert packages.
It’s also close to “sign-up” time for the Clone Zone, our highly popular premium content section featuring video interviews with student-athletes and coaches, hour-long recaps of all football games, coach’s shows, news conferences and much more. This exclusive content is available on both a yearly ($79.95) and monthly ($8.95) basis. We also hope to create sport-specific packages in the near future.
We have come to understand, through both customer service surveys and monitoring our increasing “hit” totals, the importance of the web site as a way for Cyclone fans to interact with our program.
