Ok, ok, I'll be the first to post something about this game and probably end up being the last.
I am in the mist of changing the players names and man that takes too long. And for those who go through every team, or the major ones that is; wow have fun.
The game actually plays well. It's smoother and feels more natural while playing, but I am concerned about the highlight stick. Its cool in its essence, but I think this will be way over hyped and certain plays will happen when really they wouldn't. Kind of like when the impact player thing was introduced.
The passing game on both sides of the ball seems more realistic. Now I have already played with sliders and have it on A.A., but the guys seem to drop more(in a good way) and it really seems that its up to you to try and make the catches. I have found that I have need to take control more often to come up with the catch which is they way it should be.
The running game seems to be tough, but always is for me off the bat. I tend to be more of a passing guy so it could just be me.
What have you thought?
How is the name changing going? I have found that I need to add Wallace Franklin and play around with others as not all the recruiting class made it in.
I have not played with Dynasty yet as I want to get the names changed, but am very excited to see if all the hype is cracked up to what it is. Now I will say that I only have it on PS2, so there were not as significant changes as the next gen versions, but enough to gain my enthusiasm again.
Later!

Do they still have the impact player feature? I haven't played it much in a few years. I'm a Madden guy.

Did you have to face Clinton in the state tournament in Campus Legend? I heard they're tough.

Just now you got a highlight stick which means they pull some fancy move to get past a guy bigger or smaller than you that could lead to a big play.
I was playing McFadden and went on a toss, did the move and got by a guy by ducking under his arm and then ran in another 20 yds for a touchdown. Thats why I fear that there will be to many of these types of plays, but I am happy with everything else.
Well gotta go play. Got offense player names changes done. Oh, I had to add Joe Blaes too.

I have it on XBOX 360, and must say that the game is quite impressive. The only complaint that I have is that the players kind of look like someone shoved a corn cob up their a$$ when they are running. Other than that, great graphics, great stadiums, realistic game play and tackling, it is also pretty sweet that I have been on the phone talking to my recruits, picking what to say, and getting responses from them each week of my dynasty (3 so far).

PS2. Played Iowa on AA. Had 4 different 100 yd. rushers and put up 62 points. After one game, bumping up to Heisman.

This game is pretty ridiculous to me. Out of the two full games I've played, I've ran two uncontested kick offs back for TDs, intercepted three passes straight back uncontested for TDs, and two punt returns, yes, uncontested, and back for TDs. I've also blocked a total of three kicks, out of the 4 or 5 touchdowns that I've allowed.
I'm going to start a new thread soon to illustrate the horrible sim engine this game has, too. I dunno, I'm pretty peeved with the game at this point. I might have to start playing exclusively online. | Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...

Bumping the difficulty up to Heisman made it more like All-American, which was what I was used to last year. I'm in a slow game versus Kent State right now, leading 17-0 going into the fourth.
