Great Job with the commercial ISU. Simple, and classic. Love the drums.

That would be really cool on the jumbo-tron right before the intro music and team entrance...

Not to change the subject, but I will...it would be sweet if they played NFL films music...whether its the band or over the sound system during games instead of Jock Jams. The CD is Autumn Thunder and a must for tailgates.

Good commercial. **** of a lot better than the **** advertisment I saw for the Hawks in the CR airport tonight...

(I can tell I'm home: It's freak'n humid outside, it's quite, and I can't even walk down a hallway without the hawks being in my face )

Welcome home, Flag Guy! The state was less cardinal and gold without you.

Now good luck beating the jet lag. Flying west across an ocean really screws people up.
    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

    The drunken one returns!

Time to make the first harassing call.

P.S. - if you think it's humid there...

    Thanks

and... I'm still laughing at the Arizonian's I ran into in Berlin... they thought it was "humid" there. I couldn't even feel the humidity....

As opposed to here, where I felt like I needed a machette to cut my way through the air it was so thick...

Yeah, I remember my trip to Europe 5 years ago now - It took me a day to recover going there, and a week to recover when I came back... Not fun

    Re: Cyclone football commercial

Why do we play the game?

We play for our school. The fans. And our teammates.

We plan to win. We play to improve ourselves.

To make goals…and strive for them.

    Passion.

We play for the challenge. Honor. Discipline.

The chance to do great things.

And we play, because it’s more than a game.

    We are…Iowa State.

I've got em at 700 miles away. Completely worth it... even if you can only attend 2 or 3 games and have to give the rest to other potential Cyclones that wouldn't have gone otherwise. It gets them hooked too.

Hey, I made every game coming from colorado for 3 years straight. Lots of overnight drives but worth every second. Get your tickets dude.

    Re: Cyclone football commercial

Easily the best commercial to come out of Ames in a long time. As much as I liked Mac and the commercials a few years back...you had to admit, there was a certain "cheesy" element going on.

    Graphics
    Music
Action Shots (Remeber Atif Austin diving for a falling bread roll, ala a fumble)

...all just seemed a bit off.

This is tight. Slow build up, Gene talking, great shots of players getting ready for a game...then, a punchline. We are...Iowa State.

Now before Iowa fans go nuts in claiming...rip off via Penn State...other schools do it, why not us. Can't this be a cheer prior to the game?
Great Idea to play that prior to the team's entrance onto the field...get the crowd chanting WE ARE....IOWA STATE, over and over...then hit the music/band....enter mayhem.

    Great Job ISU!
