Re: Cyclone football commercial

yeah... wierd... I just recall it seemed UNI got pummeled by them in the 90s so I thought they were I-AA for awhile...

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

They were. When Moss was there, they were 1AA. I think they went up to 1 when Pennington was there.

Re: Cyclone football commercial

Why can't we say "WE ARE....CYCLONES"? I think that would be absolutely amazing. Because, isn't it true? Aren't we all Cyclones? And it's got the right number of syllables.

EDIT: 100 posts!!!

I respectfully disagree.

For what it's worth, I remember watching us do it and commenting that you could count how many people in the student section were from Wisconsin. Sadly, it didn't get the following it should have.

yeahhh, it works in wisconsin... but it still doesnt pump me up for football.. looks cool.. but nah, it didnt work here. I would rather see EVERYONE get up for the I S U chant... we could do so much better at that And that is powerful when it is loud

I'd love it...only problem is JTS needs chants to be even since there really are only two sides. (Not knocking on the endzone fans-it's simply a matter of numbers) Which is why they worked on two- and four- part chants like Cardinal...Gold, Cyclone...Power, and the ever popular CY...CL...ON...ES... Then we wound up with fans saying "This is stupid" and sitting down with their hands folded to pout (an exaggeration...but you get what I'm driving at) which damaged the decibel level of our cheers.

Personally, I'd like to see I...S...U...CYCLONES!. We Are...Iowa State would be nice, too. Frankly, I don't care, as long as it's LOUD.

Once we bowl in the stadium three-part chants will work a lot better.

Cyclone Power is pretty cool... thats always been one of our coined terms. It can be real loud too. Man, i cant wait until football season starts, i get chills thinking about the 2005 colorado game, the 2005 iowa game, the 2006 toledo and UNI games, also the UNLV...... i cant wait to yell like hell

I remember "Cyclone Crunchtime is Lunchtime" and "Twister and Shout" back in the good old days.

Hey, numbers be damned- the north endzone holds it's own!

Re: Cyclone football commercial

Speaking of football things, it is time to post the last 3 pics. It looks like we are missing a grad assistant and replaced him with a weight manager on cyclones.com :

Re: Cyclone football commercial

I have to agree with ISUclones33 that I'm really glad the jump around thing is history. Anyone know if Jeff Johnson will be trying to pump us up before games?

Re: Cyclone football commercial

I love Jeff Johnson too. I had the opportunity to talk to him at a couple games at Hilton this year. I'm just not crazy about what they had him do last year for football games.
