Ames heroin bust
Isn't Terrance Highsmith the name of an ex-ISU FB player? DesMoinesRegister.com 'tiny little text etched into her neck it said "jesus lived and died for all your sins." she's got blue black ink and it's scratched into her lower back. it said: "damn right i'll rise again." yeah, damn right you'll rise again.' -
Re: Ames heroin bust
Yes it is. Juco Transfer that played a little wide out and QB. I was wondering why he always had a needle sticking out of his butt

Re: Ames heroin bust
I just dont know why the rag thinks they need to exploit everything that any FORMER player did.. People get busted on this stuff all of the time, and it never makes the paper.

Re: Ames heroin bust
Well to be fair. They did not mention he played for ISU. THey just announced a big Heroin bust. They do that all the time. THey probably knowing them have not figured out that he is a former cyclone yet.

Re: Ames heroin bust
I'm more surprised that there is heroin in Ames. I mean I always assumed there was some here and there, but it always seemed pretty quiet to me.

Re: Ames heroin bust
Nice thread title... go work for the newspapers joepublic. By no means is this a 'bust'. He was arrested for possession of a drug and the amount he had was enough to sell to a friend or two.
And let's not be naive people. If you think these types of drugs are not in Ames or Iowa for that matter, you need to take the blinders off. They are everywhere, on campuses and in schools. The extent is obviously not as a larger metropolitan area, but they are present.

Re: Ames heroin bust
The Register's ability to make sure former/ex Cyclones receive publicity for wrong doing/mistakes is almost as good as ESPN and the national media's ability to point out wrong doing of any former Cincinnati Bengal.

Re: Ames heroin bust
When I was in school (Yankton College) in SD, during 77-78, we'd make weekend road trips to Iowa City for the drugs. AT THAT TIME, they had some of the best pot in the midwest. A close second was Drake.
There has always been more than enough drugs, not just in Iowa, but all the Midwest... don't know about ISU never tried there.
Man, that seems like a lifetime ago... well, I guess it was. (Been clean for over 12 years)

Re: Ames heroin bust
Here's the first line in the article:
"A former Iowa State University football player nicknamed 'T-High'..."
1. Who the hell called him T-High?
2. Why would you include that?
