Marty's new idea

Ok, listening to marty again made me laugh today. He has it all figured out this time. At the 11th hour sometime in Aug, JP will sell all remaining season tickets to ticketmaster. They will then split them up game by game and resell the tickets.

You know what, if he did that, I am happy! Goal attained, all season tickets were sold, ISU has a full season of sellouts, and most important, ISU gets paid!

I have no problem if that is what happens. It is just like me going out and buying the remaining tickets ansd selling them. And I am sure that if I did Marty would have nothing to say, but if the ticketmaster deal happens he will claim that he was right and that Pollard broke his word of not selling single game tickets which he has not, because a third part has bought SEASON tickets and will be on the hook for anything not sold to any game.

If you buy 6 single game tickets, we will throw in a ticket to the iowa game for free. That will be his next expose.

Yeah, I agree, I see nothing wrong with this. There is nothing but positives for ISU.

That seems like a raw deal for Ticketmaster (although I would love to see them on the wrong end of a business decision). If they buy all of the remaining tickets they have to sell them all to take their money...it may be hard to sell the extra tickets for the Kent State game and also some of the November games since it seems like people don't want to show up in November even if a championship is on the line.

How can anyone continue to listen to this idiot? I tried to put up with it and finally a couple weeks ago had to turn it off. He takes the unpopular opinion and runs his mouth for 2 hours on the same subject. Just a few weeks ago he swore that Jamie was selling single game tickets and that he knew it for sure and was throwing a party to celebrate. So now the guy decides to go with a new theory? Do yourself a favor and TURN THE DIAL!!!

Marty is an idiot. He's going to look really stupid when this is all over with. But you know Marty he'll find a way to spin it and call it a conspiracy if we have a packed Jack Trice without single game tickets going on sale.

It is funny to me how many of you listen to the anti-cyclone propaganda on Marty and read it in the rag. The best way to get friendly media is stop supporting those who aren't.

I don't think what Marty is doing is anti-cyclone propaganda...quite the opposite actually. Hopefully with all of Marty's summer rantings about how single game tickets will be on sale and then when people find out they won't, they will give in and buy season tickets.

Or just the opposite- people will just expect to eventually be able to buy the single game tickets and hold out.
