Who Wins the Big 12... And what is their record?

I'm going to go on the record and say that I think the team that wins the Big 12 will have at least 2 losses, and probably three. I think Texas is in the driver's seat... but I think they'll lose to Ohio State and at least one other team in the Big 12. So they'll be 11-2 or 10-3 running into their BCS bowl.

That would make for a crazy race in the Big 12 this year.

They won't lose to Ohio State. But they will lose to Texas Tech I think.

    Record

I don't see anymore going undefeated. I'd say the best team in the conference has one loss, two at the most. Until, Oklahoma had their QB issue, I would have said they might be undefeated. Now, I say Texas has one loss as the conference winner (post title game)

I just can't see Texas beating Ohio State again after last year where vince young had to pull the win out of his butt. Plus last years game was Troy Smith's first start. Besides that I don't see who else they would lose to. I'll take Texas over ISU in the B12 Championship game with Texas going 12-1.

I might be nuts, but this could be Texas Tech's year with Texas having a new quarterback and all of the trouble that is brewing in Norman.

Iowa state going 13-0 with an average margin of victory of 63.5 pts. and go on to be eventual national champs with 2 heisman finalists and Bret winning the award.

    :D

You know ISU has come a long way when I think every game on the schedule is winnable. I don't think they can go undefeated, but with all the recent buzz with players leaving, the schedule certainly has become a lot less threatening.

    South:
    1. Texas **Champion
    2. Tech
    3. OU
    4. A&M
    5. Baylor
    6. OSU

    North:
    1. Nebraska
    2. ISU (Schedule is tough)
    3. Colorado
    4. Kansas
    5. Kansas State
    6. Mizzouri

That is my guy feeling. I think if ISU can win all their games at home, then we will win the north. The Nebraska game is probably the biggest on our schedule as far as rivalarly and the North being won.

I still do not get all of the hype going on about Nebraska. They did improve last year but they are getting so much credit for how they finished the season last year. The win at Colorado was impressive but they won on a fluke play against an overreted Michigan squad. I have seen them ranked as high as 15th in pre season polls. Anyone feel the same or different? Explain.

Absolutely. I've wondered the same thing. Deace himself said Michigan really didn't care to even be there. (Deace is a Michigan fan, so maybe just excuses).

As I've said in other threads, being a member of the Raider Nation, I'm still waiting for a Raideresque meltdown to occur in Lincoln sometime fairly soon.

It wasn't entirely a fluke that they beat us at home last year. Let's not lower ourselves to the big brother/little brother taunts that hawk fans hurl at us daily.
Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

Yeah, Im still not up on Nebraska, however, I dont think that it will be an easy game for anyone who plays them this year, including USC. If we had the schedule we did last year this year, Im sure Iowa State would be picked as the front runner in the north over Nebraska. I'm really looking forward to October 7th!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Tech also have to find a new QB for the upcoming season? So that means that the three powers in the south will have somebody new calling the plays. I would have to say that Texas or OU have a better shot at winning the south because of overall talent when compared with Tech.
