Love the Wii! I've had mine for several months now and I still play it as much as I did when I bought it.

However, No NCAA 08, no NASCAR 08, etc. makes me sad. I may have to get an X-Box for the sports games.

The "future wife" gave the Wii to me as a Christmas present, best present ever!! My favorite part is the VC, I've already downloaded 12 games and have a list of others I'm going to purchase when they come out. Plus the new Metroid and Mario games look like they're going to be bad-***!! The future is bright for the Wii!!

There's a reason the Wii60 movement has so much support. I really think serious gamers can't go wrong with that setup.

Wii man and Xbox man. Still want a PS2 for God of War 1 and 2 but no PS3 in my mind.

I've only owned two other Sony products ever so I wouldn't call myself a Sony loyalist. For my needs there was no other choice.

I have a home theater in my basement with a 100" HD projector. I keep all my equipment in a closet and wire through the walls/ceiling.

It had a bluetooth controllers-This allowed me to keep the PS3 in the closet

It has HDMI-This was a must. I run it through my A/V reciever to my projector. At the time I bought the Ps3, Microsoft didn't offer it on the Xbox 360 and said it wasn't needed. They now offer an Elite with that funcianality that wasn't needed? It also HDMI 1.3 unlike others.

BluRay-It was the best and also the cheapest BluRay player at the time. You couldn't buy one for less than $1,000.

Wireless-Wireless is built into the unit. I don't have to run cat-5 from the 2nd floor

Reliability-When there is a name for your problem...you've got a problem. "Microsoft’s over $1 billion charge for its new three-year warranty against the Red Ring of Death." When I bought my PS3 this was before the extended warranty and I could see from the number of posts that they had a big problem on their hand.

Gran Turismo-Once it comes out I'll probably spend a good year just playing this one game.



The Xbox 360 and Wii make sense for a lot of people (probably a lot more than the PS3) but there are some people who have more needs that the PS3 fills. It's kind of like comparing a Porsche 911, Corvette, and Honda Civic. Is the 911 a waste of money because it's more expensive and not as fast as a Corvette? Don't hate, just be happy with what you bought.

Regardless of your personal eloquence (and solid reasons for owning one), most fanboys are arrogant, offensive ****** who should have been denied access to the internet. That said, both of the other two consoles fulfill most, if not all, of those bullet points. The only one is the BR player, and that's not even something people necessarily want.

Are you seriously going to play Gran Turismo for a year? Good grief. I get bored to the point of tears after 5 minutes... I've never understood the attraction of those games.

People that make posts like the example above are usually children whose parents bought them a PS3/Xbox 360 or people who don't actually own a console.


GT4 has 700 cars and 50+ tracks. I've been playing it on the PS3 and I've probably got 60 hours and I'm only 50% through the whole game. It's all about getting the best time. I'm a perfectionist so its hard for me to set down the controller when I know I could do better.

I forgot another big plus is the backward compatibility with PS2 games. I never owned a PS2 so I can buy a lot of games for $5 and they'll play on the PS3.

I'll get a playstation 3 if blue ray wins out in the HD DVD battle. Right now, it's probably the cheapest way to get one. I heard they lose money on every unit sold. Otherwise, that's all it is to me, a souped up DVD player. The 360 has the best online, the best games, and the HD player is great, if that format can stay.

I had a 3DO. That thing was awesome until the playstation came out. Heck that wasnt that long ago. 13 years ago or so.

I was leaning towards the XBox 360, and after Sony's press conference at E3, I found myself leaning toward the PS3, whenever I had the money. Now it appears that Sony has no market sense for video games whatsoever. Wii all the way until the HD-DVD and Bluray dust settles.

Its funny, but its sickingly true how people text. I hate it. My friends text all of the time and it annoys me. If you want to send text, get a pager. If its a phone, use it to call.
