Re: Darius Stevens
Kinda funny how we may have Ron Harris's and Barry Stevens's sons playing for us in the future. Plus we may get Buckley's little brother Deandre for the 2009 class. And the weirdest one of all, Sean Haluska...

Re: Darius Stevens
Stevens looked good. He still has not quite figured out how to control his body. He is lanky. Once he get's used to being 6"6f inches tall and how to move better I think he will be great. I would take him in a second. I think that is why Gmac did not go to the game because he can not talk with Stevens.

How great would Dykstra, Barnes, D. Stevens look for 2010?!? Can you say top 5 class!?! Saturday was a special and great day for the Cyclone Family in honoring Barry. I just wanted to respond to your post regarding Harrison, as I am a BIG fan. You were probably caught up in the moment of the day, but to take one day and try to compare two ISU legacies from a Legends game to the Capital City League performance is pretty poor.
Harrison is a stud and might have had one game that was off, but otherwise he played GREAT and was impressive in that league on the nights I attended.
Both Harrison and Darius would be great additions to the Cyclone Family.
Although we might only see Harrison on the local/state level, he is definitely on the rise. http://kansas.scout.com/2/656253.html http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.c...=67225&sport=2 -
Re: Darius Stevens
Harrison Barnes, Dykstra, and Stevens...
WOW.. I love that class already.
3 character kids who can ball.

Re: Darius Stevens
I am not insinuating that Darius is not talented, but I did notice the older players lay off him when he would go in for a shot. They wanted the kid to score in his father's honor.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. -
Re: Darius Stevens
I would love to get Darius Stevens. He would be a great story, and if he could be a contributor he would be absolutely loved here in Ames. Imagine if he could grow to 6'8" or so and still play on the wing - that would be some great size.
Throw Stevens, Barnes, Dykstra, and a good PG like Elijah Johnson in that class and it could be top 10 easy. Granted, it's a long way away though.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

Actually Mike Born was trying to hard.

Re: Darius Stevens
Any recruiting type articles (Rivals, Scout) out on this kid?
-
Re: Darius Stevens
Is he a major college DI-type prospect?

Re: Darius Stevens
I dunno, but Jeremy said he has top 150 potential on the first page.

Re: Darius Stevens
There isn't a ton about him yet since he's still young and most recruiting news really starts the beginning of the Junior year. From what I've heard, he has potential to be Top 150 caliber but right now it's obviously an early analysis/assessment.
I would have to say ISU is by far the clear leader right now but it all depends on Darius and what he wants to get out of his career. Once he starts to learn his role a little better and gets used to his size, he'll get a lot more attention. I would have to say I think this school year will be a breakout year for him.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Darius Stevens
I'm pulling for the kid. I hope he buckles down on his game and studies and can become a Cyclone.
