DALLAS – Iowa State linebacker Alvin "Ace" Bowen has been named to the preseason first-team all-Big 12 Conference team by the league's writers.* Bowen led the nation in tackles last season, averaging 12.92 stops per game. The East Orange, N.J. native made 155 tackles during the 2006 season.
