ESPN - Michigan, Notre Dame seeking new foes for 2011 - College Football

It looks like we surf ESPN the same time - when we get into work in the morning.

As a huge Notre Dame fan (please don't hate me - everyone else already treats ND like the Yankees) I don't like how every 7-8 years or so, the teams don't play each other. ND and USC can keep up a game against each other, I don't get why Mich/ND have to have a hole. It'd be awesome if they could keep Mich AND get OU in a home and home. I love the ND schedule, playing about 8-9 bowl teams per year and a couple easy D-1A schools...every week is a great game! But that's me being selfish.

OU-ND will have a great throwback feel to it, remembering some great games of the 40's and 50's.

I like it. Big 12 vs Notre Dame, it will show the whole country if the big 12 is for real that year.

I'd love to see more Big 12 schools kick the crap out of Notre Dame. Too bad they didn't schedule Texas or A&M for the game in San Antonio.

I agree about liking to see a Big 12 foe take on Notre Dame. As a college football fan, I don't like seeing the annual tradition of Michigan vs. Notre Dame take a hiatus.

Yeah, I'll miss this game too. Who doesn't love listening to constant hype for a game between two traditionally great powers on their way to another loss in a bowl they probably didn't deserve to be in anyway?
