thanks cigarette. Every time I read stories from a real sports section it reminds me just how subpar the Rag is.

Re: World-Herald article on Chizik
there have been times when I've thought the OWH has covered ISU football as good as the CR Gazette does, if not better, and pretty close to the DM Rag... Barfy covers the Big 12 pretty well, and has taken heat in the past from husker fans for not being a homer...
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. Re: World-Herald article on Chizik
My fondest memory of the OWH was when they cam down the week before the home game in 2004 and a reporter was walking through tailgates and stopped me and asked my opinion with my son. I basically told him in a very cocky way that Nebraska did not intimidate us at all and I guaranteed a win. I checked the paper online the next week and I must have been used as material to pump up the Huskers. But we all know that my prediction rang true.

Nice read. I read the Omaha paper often and ISU gets better coverage than Iowa.

5-6 football teams really shouldn't intimidate anyone. But hey they were worse than we were that year.
Did the reporter find you before last years game???

My guess is that he would have loved to, but did not.

Oh well, maybe in a couple of years, you can cross paths with him again, and relive some history. -
Re: World-Herald article on Chizik
Thanks for the post, JP sure knows how to sell ISU. Despite what other fans/schools may say or think, I think that GC was always our first choice for head coach and JP had to "recruit" to get him here.
