    Maric leaves NU MBB program

    Due to the coaching change, Maric is going to transfer or play overseas. From Bill Hodges Daily Page:

    # Sophomore center Aleks Maric of Sydney, Australia/Burlington-Life Center, NJ., is leaving Nebraska</B>. Maric, who averaged 10.9 points and 8.1 rebounds last season, said he made the decision when it became official that Barry Collier would not be returning as head coach. He is expected to transfer or play professionally in Europe.

    It later states that he was upset due to the fact that Callahan had visited him in the past week and assured him that Collier was staying. :)
