That's a pretty good catch for Baylor. I wonder if ADJP was trying to get ISU on ND's schedule...

I would love to see us playing ND. I remember Kansas playing them a few years ago and being jealous. Good exposure, excellent opportunity to get some national respect.

So ND does a home and home starting in 2011 with OU then plays Baylor in 2012. I wonder what other team will drop from their schedule. Another Big 10 team?

Is this a sign...ND dropping Big 10 teams from their sched? Hmmm...wonder why that could be...

I would love to see ISU play ND or Michigan. More than likely a home and home would not fly, but we could take a big pay check for a road game. Big Pay Check, High Exposure, Great roady opportunity, and it gets fans pumped up a little more in the pre-season.....(Just like the FSU game in KC)

I always thought we would make a decent match up with some middle-of-the-pack Big 10 teams. Too bad we already play one average Big Ten team each year. It would interesting to have series against other close teams, like Minnesota or Illinois, or maybe have a little rematch with Michigan State.

Maybe a few years down the road we can trade in our Kent States and Toledos for some better competition. I've always been jealous watching some other marquee non-conference match-ups. I'd be fun to see how we'd fare against the ACC, SEC, Pac 10, etc. Maybe some day.

I think playing Minnesota home and home would be interesting. They get a new stadium on campus in 2009 and we could make it pretty red.

Notre Dame vs. Iowa State would literally kill me. My two favorite colleges and teams; I would wear half ISU and half ND gear.

OR Iowa State could look to try and get the #117, #118, and #119 teams every year in college football as their non-conf. games to almost assure a bowl game and get the national coverage of that.

Why not pick up Indiana or Northwestern....That are not that much better than some of the MAC teams ISU plays already.

At least if ISU plays a big 10 team, they know the game will be on TV for "exposure."

I would wait a year or two to see if Chizik can turn this ship around, if so then they may be able to ask for a home and home series with the big boys....how sweet would that be to see Big Blue or the Golden Dome's playing at JTS.

Not a bad move by the Domers by picking up two games in Orlando, one in San Antonio, and one in Dallas. They probably feel they can still get quality players from the midwest but I'm sure they were looking for more exposure in Florida and Texas.

I hate Notre Slime so much, I would love the opportunity to play them in a non conference game. I think beating them in South Bend would be the best day of my life, even if my best friend is the drum major of their marching band!!

Honestly Notre Dame makes me sick every year. They're the only team I know that's consistently more over-rated than Iowa.

They may have a storied program and an incredible (or at least incredibly highly paid) coach, but they've gotten stomped on the last few years in the BCS. I'm sick of seeing them go to BCS bowls and just getting hammered. They currently hold the NCAA record for consecutive bowl game losses. They've lost 9 in a row.

Each year they act like they're the national champions. They haven't won a national championship since 1988.

On top of all this, whenever I see Lou Holtz on TV I throw up in my mouth a little bit. Does anyone remember his prediction in 2005 that UNI would give Iowa more of a fight than Iowa State? We all know how that one turned out... What a moron.

ND also got screwed in 1993 for the national championship. How do you have 2 teams that finish with identical 11-1 records that played head to head during the season and the vote goes to the loser of that game.
