Two guys named Jim.

So I was listening to the show on Sunday afternoon. Jim Zabel was interviewing a spokesman from The Big 10 network.... The last question he asked was something along the lines of "Do you think the big 10 network will grow as large as other syndicated television networks like NBC, ABC, or CBS?"

He was dead serious.....

For a couple of seconds it was so silent that you could actually hear the BTN representative thinking, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR ****ING MIND????

Kinnick smells like syrup.

Jim Zabel is just like Bob Brooks. They have to Freeze them whenever they aren't doing a story.

Some People see things as they are and say why? I dream things that never were and say why not? When I took this job I said why not Iowa State? Why not winning? Why not bowl games? Why not sell outs? Why not national respect? Why not us? Why not here? Why not the cyclone family?

Zabel was replaced by an animatronic double when he passed away in 1982. Fortunately, he is enviro-friendly as he runs on 100% ethanol.

Re: Two guys named Jim.

Zabel is responsible for fist-pounding squawk eye drivel down central Iowa’s throat since the turn of the twentieth century. In my mind his entire career is criminal and I don’t care how much respect everyone has for him and laady frickin’ daaa. It’s no wonder him and Walden share a radio program.

He's probably the biggest reason more non-iowa grads are iowa fans, though I'm sure he's an iowa grad himself... He makes my blood boil, thanks for ruining my day.
