Re: Cubs in First!!

1/2 game out but no one is playing like they want to take the division right now:

Brewers: Lost 4 in a row, 3-7 in last 10
Cubs: 4-6 in last 10
Cards: Won 2, 4-6 in last 10 and 5.5 games back.

Heck Houston could even creep back into this just 8.5 games out, won 3 in a row against the Cubs.

Hopefully the Cubs can play through Soriano's injury and now A-Ram's sore wrist. I am still baffled why our best hitting catcher Soto is still down in AAA. DFA Hill and call him up! Hill can't hit, Kendall is starting to get better but Soto is batting .352 with 19 HR and 77 RBI and he's not bad defensively either. Let's see what he's made of and see if he can contribute in the thick of a division race.

Re: Cubs in First!!

The soto issue becomes a quantity thing. There was never really room for him on the 25-man roster. Next year though they either have to put him on the roster or loose him. He may become traide bait for a catcher with more creditials.

Sigh. Just got to the hotel room after the game tonight. Talk about a beat down. I saw it coming, though. Can't seem to get 3 solid games in a row out of these guys.

Add on Milwaukee winning and it was a really bad night.
