i hate iowa as much as the next guy, and i am probably going to get hammered for this post. why do i care what iowa fan is saying on his message board? i don't. i am concerned with what is going on in ames. granted, we play iowa every year in every sport, but i just don't care what they are saying. i love the rivalry between us, but to me it seems that some of us are much more interested in the demise of the hawks then the rise to greatness of the clones. just my 2 cents.

Amen brotha. We spew Cyclone slanted points of view all the time, can't fault a fan-base for being blindly optimistic. Let's just focus on our own blind optimism, and maybe we can work towards shedding this annoying little brother mentality that some of you give birth to with threads like this.

I don't see how "little brother complex" applies to this thread and I find it annoying when someone even puts that phrase into print, as just having it on the pro- ISU website lends credence to the notion.
We don't covet what our neighbors to the east have in their athletic department. Other than Ferentz, I'm at a loss as to any of their coaches I'd like to see in Cardinal & Gold. That's not bashing them, simply a vote of confidence for the personnel that Pollard has hired and / or retained.
Possibly you have a different idea of what "little brother complex" entails...

Seriously though, if Florida has even contacted the kid, his stock must be going thru the roof! It's one thing to be battling Nebraska and EIU for a young big man from SD; doesn't do much for me in the "we must have him" department. But if Florida's joined the hunt, I want him bad! C'mon McDermott - step up the recruiting pitch...

Those yellow on yellow jerseys are a MILLION times more hideous than red on red ever was. 2. I think its picture #9, check out how tiny lil man Jake looks. I know hes squating to throw a lil, but no more than the olineman are bending their knees. I know their Olineman are probably 6'5"-6'6", but c'mon, he looks 5'8". Its gonna be hard for him to throw over the O and D lineman. |

Jeez, who's the shorty in photo #9?

That's probably a bad angle. He's listed at 6'1". Could've fooled me though.

At least they have not preannounced that Iverson is going to Iowa.
