New Committments???

From everything were seeing, i feel a committment coming.....

Here's my hunch - Blake Slaughter will be committed by this weekend to ISU....

Read everything that he's saying, and that ISUClones33 has said, and i think were gonna get that verbal.....who needs KState......

Chiz is the man in Texas, Blake sees that and knows that he help young Mr. Slaughter develop into a NFL caliber line backer - first round pick!!!!

Go get'em chiz, make me look smart!!!!

Alright? I guess I was going by height which someone reported to be 5'11''. I suppose I should have looked further into it before making that post, but you called me on it anyways...

He is short guys, but we have had some linebackers that werent the tallest be successful. I dont know about having him verbaled this weekend. I think it will come. Talking with him he was really caught up in the recruiting process and taking his time. I really think ISU was his favorite after his visit. I think Blake will be a later commit. He has 10 offers on the table, i think he will go to some games. Although he was very concerned about academics and wants to go into Mechanical Engineering. We will see, but i would be surprised to see him commit too soon

he is pretty solid... He actually weighs 219 right now. I think Coach Shep could work wonders on him however

In my mind that should be a big plus for Iowa State.. the ME program is top 20 I believe.

People who are complaining about size obviously don't know how much Alvin Bowen weighs. I love big linebackers, but that's more important in the NFL than college.

It looks like Mechanical is ranked 23rd...I didn't realize our statistics program was so good.

Yeah, height's not everything. Sam Olajubutu is 5'8 and was the best player on Arkansas's defense last year. They had some other defenders who went first round and he didn't even get drafted because of his size but ask any Arkansas fan who was the heart of that defense last year and you will get a pretty consistent answer. I would take 10 Olajubutus on my team.
