Celebrities are in their own world. One of the reasons Team America is one of the smartest comedies ever. I am shocked Paramount would allow Matt and Trey to make a movie like that.

I consider myself liberal, but even I have to shake my head and cover my face whenever a celebrity feels like they need to play senator. Matt and Trey, as conservative as they may be, nailed it with Team America.

Check out this link. It shows some of the education levels of some of the most well known and outspoken celebrities. Comparing the backgrounds of the stars versus the politicians-Truth! It is curious that now, even after we have heard all the evidence that Saddam Hussein has chemical, biological and is very close to obtaining nuclear weapons, their is no cry from this group for HIM to disarm. I don't know that I would use that article as proof of much. I haven't heard any evidence that there were any WMDs in Iraq. This just shows me that we have a bunch of educated 'idiots' running this country, and that maybe they have taken some acting lessons from some of the people listed in this article, because they sure have done a great job of convincing many in this country that they know what's right for the country.
Just to make things a little more clear though - I think celebs need to shut the f*** up when it comes to politics, more often than not. Most of them are idiots as well. I mean seriously, do we really want to look to people like Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears to tell us how to act?

It's hard to believe that those misguided conservatives actually ELECTED an actor from Hollywood several years ago. I guess if an actor is liberal, he/she is bad, but if they are conservative they are president.......or governor for that matter....

Sean Penn Tied Madonna up and beat the crap out of her. Something I applauded because I hate Madonna. Problem was Sean was married to her. So the moral guy mr. penn beats women and then throws stones at others.
The best was when he went to hurricane Katrina and had a little wooden boat, a film crew, and a shotgun for protection and he was "rescuing" people. Because everyone knows when you go to save people and rescue people, you better have your freakin film crew there.

I actively dislike liberals who are so far left, that they are socialists, but do not have the balls to say so. I actively dislike the far, far right also. As to the other actor comment in this thread, Ronald Reagan was one of the best presidents we have ever had. He made America believe in itself, revived the economy, and defeated the Soviet Union. The only thing Sean Penn has done is place his name up there with Jane Fonda. | |
