Re: Headed to SF! What to do?
Ride the cable cars, go to the wharf, Alcatraz is worth seeing at least once in you life to see what a real prison used to be. I concur with the eat at a real diner, there are a lot of good one in the city. Stay out of Oakland!

I check this board every so often, cause I'm actually interested in ISU and football. I thought would be fun. I guess I was wrong.
I can't wait to meet you all at your little "gathering", so I can tell you off in person.

We got tickets to an afternoon Giants game late in the week, that should be fun, especially if Bonds can hit one that day. Other than that, I am totally free. I am staying downtown right by Moscone. lots of Strip Joints!!! Don't tell mrsbrianhos though!!
You did say this was on a Company per diem, right?

No where is this attempt at humor did I question Brians heterosexuality. Brian and myself have went back and forth in a friendly way since he started bashing NASCAR. To repeat, all in having a little fun.

Do not eat the burritos at Bubba Beans West in El Torrito. They are a blast.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Headed to SF! What to do?
Well I am back, what a great time and what a great city.
Some thoughts:
The Weather, everyday it was foggy in the morning and then sunny in the afternoon, highs in the lower 60s. I could live somewhere like that.
Food:
The only thing better than the weather is the choices of food. We had Dim Sum the first day for lunch, and then Indian that night. The best thing we had was sushi. My first time eating raw fish, I thought it would be disgusting...Boy was I wrong, it was maybe the best food I have ever eaten.
Giants:
We went to an afternoon game on thurs. That is a really nice park, and they have an incredible variety of food. We got these garlic fries, they were so good. Kinda fun to try something new at the ballpark. We were sitting there enjoying the warm sun, watching baseball, that was an alright way to spend an afternoon.
If anyone has a chance to visit SF ever... I highly recommend it. I also really loved the non smoking atmosphere, we went to a ton of bars there, and no smoke in any of them. It was great.

I was rinding on Bart back from Walnut Creek, and saw the fireworks go up over ATT park. That was pretty cool. That is as close as I saw. But it was fun being in town when it all went on. I know there are talks that Barry will get traded so he can DH, but the people of SF love him. I doubt other cities would embrace him life SF does.
Edit: 2000 posts... I am a loser.
