Alexander Robinson
I have not seen to much of this guy other then the picture of him and seeing that he scored a TD in practice on cyclones.com. Is there any chance that he will see playing time this year, he does not appear to be too big so I assume he is quick. Anybody know more on him?

Re: Alexander Robinson
I talked to him on the phone several weeks ago when he sold me on an Alumni Association membership. Super polite kid. He used the word "sir" a lot. He's originally from Minneapolis so we talked about the twin cities for a while. We also talked about Gene and he said he couldn't be happier with the new coach. He loves the new system and says, like everyone, that they are really busting their butts. He mentioned that he had injury problems (I can't remember where) last year which forced him to redshirt, but he's back to 100% and is very excited for the first game.

Re: Alexander Robinson
Wasn't he one of the guys that was going to leave the team? Maybe I have him confussed with another RB.

I don't know if it was an unfounded rumor or if there was a change of plans involved. It is interesting that he is one of the few if not only scholarship recruit who does not have a current bio on the official site roster.
One of the concerns mentioned about Robinson when he was brought in was his small stature - 168 lbs. He must have bought into the S&C program as he is now listed at 181.

He left the team for a bit personal problems. I think Mcfarland even mentioned it in one of his interviews when asked and Coach stated "Alexander is with the team...he had left for some personal issues, but he is back, and wants to be here and we made sure he knew we wanted him here."
AR is someone I am really curious about. It looks like he has put on some good muscle in the off season and his High School stats are ver good. I think he even has a high school record for scoreing 6 TD's in one game. I know we beat the Goph's out for him, and the Goph's wanted him. I think AR has the potential to surprise some people with quality PT....
maybe "33" has some insight on AR??

Re: Alexander Robinson
I think that he did leave the team. He definitely wasn't with them this Spring. Saw somewhere it was due to personal issues. Having him definitely can't hurt. He is plenty fast. And, he helps fill the pipeline at RB. Without him we'd have three JRs and a true FR. Adding a RSFR means that they aren't as bad off when the three upperclassmen leave.

Re: Alexander Robinson
Also to note, recruited 5-9 165 pounds, now with Sheps help and a year under his belt 5-10 and 180, he will be interesting to watch develop. His pictures i've seen, appears to be ripped, so 180 might be good enough.
Time will tell.

It is my understanding he is at a Juco in Kansas. I have looked on all the Kansas Juco websites and most haven't updated the 2007 rosters. He might be at Fort Scott Community College.
I would not be surprised if he ends up at Oklahoma State and we see him for two years on the other side of the ball. He had his college choices narrowed down to ISU and OSU when he chose the Cyclones.
If OSU is deep at RB, he probably won't go there.
