JTS seat re-alignment
Does anybody still have the notice from last spring of the sections by donor level starting in 2008? It's different from this year, as I recall.
If there's an online, could you get me a link. Otherwise, if you have it - could you please let me know what Sections N and O are for next year?
TIA.
This year O is split between Gold and Cardinal and N is Century with some faculty up front. I thought next year that the whole of O is going Gold and bottom of N is Cardinal, top is 250.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
In 2008, O stays the same as in 2007. Gold bottom, Cardinal top.
In 2008, N goes Cardinal in the bottom half and States (250) in the top.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
I am in Section N this year. All I know is that next year if I want the same seats as this year I will need to donate $250.00 instead of $100.00. Which this is not big deal for me. I will give as much as I can when I can. -
Re: JTS seat re-alignment
I just realized again that my section is going to a 250 minimum donation, which raises a few questions for me - how does this stuff effect the 1/2 price tickets for people under 30? I know there won't be a 50 dollar varsity level anymore as well.
The donation increase doesn't bother me, but I don't think the people I get tickets with would like the 200 dollar donation increase to keep tickets in our same section. If you donate 250 can you get more than two 1/2 price tickets? I have a feeling I'm going to be relocating to some worse seats next year.
It doesn't really bother me, that's the price of having a part of a bigger athletic department. I'm just curious to see how it's all going to work out.

There are 7 of us who sit together and while I'm fine with the increased donation, I know a couple of the people are not. They are on a pretty tight budget. It will either be relocate to sit with them or stick with our current seats with whoever wants to donate more.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
Last year there were 9 of us that sat together - this year there are 4 - we stand a chance to be down to just my wife and I next year. I imagine I'd get pretty hammered playing flip cup 1 on 1. :Depressed:

If you are under thirty (Varsity Club), you will get the $195 ticket regardless of donation level, as long as you make the minimum donation required to join the NCC. You still only get a maximum of two tickets at that price.

We're have to move up to Cardinal next fall and can still get two half-priced tickets. Will have to pay full price for the other two.
Fortunately the NCC membership we're keeping is in my name and my birthday is in October. So, we'll have two years of half-priced tickets left ('08 and "09) before needing to pay full price for all of them.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
So if my seats are going to be "re-aligned" to be in the $250 donation section (wereas now, its just a $50 donation), will I need to donate $250 to keep my seats or is there some kind of exemption for Varsity members? And the tickets will still be 1/2 price I assume.
I'm a little confused but I think I have it correct but just want to make sure.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
When I talked to the ticket office about what we needed to do, it's as I noted above. To keep seats, you need to donate at the level required for that section. You're still able to get half-priced tickets (max 2).

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
My seats in section F are going from non donor to cardinal. I am strongly considering going to gold next year. But now I need 5 tickets and not 4. I guess I can stay where I am, go gold and buy extra tickets in a cardinal section.
I for one am really happy about this reassignment.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
There will be several interesting things to watch next year as this is implemented.
1. If everyone decides to keep their current seats, there really could be a major increase in donations again next year. While I have no idea of the numbers, the AD has made it clear that this will affect a lot of people who would need to up their donations.
2. There will also be a lot of seat moving as people do not make donations and they move up those who have been giving at higher levels but sitting in the next lower donation section or 2.
It will probably be a combination of both, but either way it will certainly change things.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
I won't mind giving more next year as long as ticket prices go down. With OU, Texas, and Iowa all at home this year it was a pretty big increase. Next year NU will be the only huge game at home so I expect the ticket prices to adjust accordingly.

Re: JTS seat re-alignment
I assume everything is up in the air depending on how good of season we have this year. If were to get to a bowl game in the first year I would expect ticket sales to be a hot item.
