my joints hurt too bad. Took a few years off and have recently started a Super Slow routine that I love. Quick - 15 minute workouts twice a week - hitting all major muscle groups and many smaller. Every set to failure and failure means 5-10 seconds of quivering collapse. I will never have a 300+ pound bench again, but my overall fitness (strength, endurance, flexibility) is greatly improved and its easy on the joints since there are no ballistic movements. Do a search on super slow workouts for a taste.

Do a search on Matt Furey - former Iowa wrestler. He has a gimic called Combat Conditioning and sells the hell out of it. I did it for a while and it felt great, but I did so many hindu push-ups (gopher-getters) that I developed tendonitis in my elbow.
The important thing about programs is to just do something... and take great supplements.....
