Well the only positive to come of Seneca fumbling was that Dobbins recovered it.

Seneca is better than quite a few NFL starters and most backups. Holmgren is never going to move him. Seneca is certainly better than the Chargers' crappy backup.

I haven't seen Seneca play this bad since the season finale loss to UConn. Oh well, only preseason and the first game of it to boot.

1) Floated interception to Eric Weddle;
2) Fumble without being hit;
3) Runs OOB before getting 1st, after which he failed to pick up the fourth down attempt;
4) Botched handoff that fortunately bounced right into the RB's hands
5) 5 yard pass badly behind the WR on 3rd Down.
Frankly, Seneca has looked like crap; I haven't seen him do anything right...
But it's only a preseason game, so who cares; I think his job is pretty secure...

Its the 2nd-3rd teams, but the Chargers have Sproles and Turner as their backup RBs. The Seahawks don't have that talent to help out Seneca.

I've seen him in the NFL quite a few times now, this is by far the worst he's ever looked. However, and I don't think anyone's insinuating this, he's no where close to losing his job because the Seahawks absolutely believe in him. I doubt "the veteran coming in to bump him to WR" Madden plan will happen either, because Hasselbeck has had injury problems and there probably won't be too many veteran QB's available good enough to bump Seneca unless he really starts struggling (which I don't see happening.) Although many still see his move to another position as helping everybody, the fact is the guy has made it this far defying the odds (I believe he's still the second shortest QB in the NFL) and thats truly where his heart lies.

The only way he could lose his spot is if:
a) David Greene started playing great, and Seneca was moved to WR and just couldn't cut it.
b) He starts bringing his gun to strip clubs with bags of money.

He was pretty good in Tennessee a couple years ago before they drafted Vince Young. I consider him a pretty high quality NFL backup...

14 for 20 for 169 yards and a TD. Chanfler looks good. Josh Brown made a second chance. Sproyles is running wild. Dobbins is hitting. A Big12 supertar game.

Sage R. had a very impressive game against the Bears on Saturday; so ISU has 2 pretty good backup QBs.
