Does anybody participate in Second Life? The name of my avatar is Near Back.
For those that have no idea what I am referring to, Second Life is an online virtual world.

I've heard of it, and I guess there's quite a bit of people who make a living off this virtual world. I can't get into it enough to get any use out of it. :)

Until I read about the ' sex code' lawsuit on MSNBC, I had never heard of Second Life. What exactly does one do in Second Life?

I tried it earlier in the summer, just to see what all the hubbub was about. Now, I'm no stranger to MMOs, but I really didn't see the attraction. I thought it was unentertaining, difficult to control, and just generally pointless.

It's no World of WarCraft, but there are a lot of people out there who like to chat with others while customizing their environment.
Does anyone remember The Palace? I think it was big in '96 or '97.

I never said I expected it to be comparable to Warcraft. I know it's not an RPG; it's just an MMO application. And yes, lots of people obviously like it. Nevertheless, I still found it boring and difficult to use.
