What about Cael?
ESPN.com: SPORTSNATION - SportsNation Polling - 3053
So I guess Dan Gable's 118-1 NCAA record is better than Cael's undefeated record? Dan is part Cyclone too but come on, how can you not recognize Cael as the greater NCAA wrestling record?

Re: What about Cael?
That's absurd. I can't come up with a good reason for that, other than maybe Gable wrestled tougher opponents than Cael did. I have no idea.
True and Valiant
I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Here is the reasoning. Ok idiot, then why don't you include his coaching acomplishments as part of this??? This is about an individual record not a career achievement! Maravich beats Gable First of all, I know Cael Sanderson finished his extraordinary NCAA career with a 159-0 record and four individual championships, and he also won an Olympic gold medal. But Gable helped put college wrestling on the map, won a gold medal at the 1972 Olympics and later coached Iowa to nine consecutive NCAA titles, 15 in all. And still, it's not good enough to sneak by the amazing Maravich. -

Oh and have to love his reasoning behind picking Aaron over Bonds. "Integrity always beats astericks." Ok Gene, show me the asterick in the record book because I'm not seeing one next to Bonds name right now. I usually agree with Gene W's writings but wow he's way off the mark on a lot of his explanations. This is about as dumb as the "who's now?" they've been doing.
