Alexander Robinson
We've been hearing a lot about the kid in the practice updates - with all the hype over Josh Johnson last year and him redshirting I didn't really pay a whole lot of attention to him. But I went back and looked up some information on him, and he was also a huge producer in high school rushing for over 2,300 yards his senior year on only just over 200 carries.
He had great speed according to rivals, in the 4.5 range. I did notice that he was pretty slight though, only 168 pounds, and he's up to 181 right now which still isn't that big for a running back. I hope this kid can become a real big producer in the future and he's got four to play. Maybe he and Bell could become something of a thunder and lightening combo where Bell could be a bruiser with his heavy frame and Robinson could be a shifty guy capable of catching the ball and making guys miss.
His rivals photo (where he was recorded 13 pounds lighter than he is now) shows that he's pretty cut, maybe he could be a young JJ Bass? -
Re: Alexander Robinson
I talked to Alexander and what he told me is he thinks there are 4 or 5 real good backs, he said they are all in the mix and that the coaches told them that as of right now there wont be just one back carrying the load. He also told me that they will know this week what the coaches are going to do about their postions, so apparently the coaches think we are deep at RB because they are considering some position changes. Id feel bad if Jason Harris went back to DB.. Because he is a good kid. But whereever he can play. I also said that things have been quiet about Scales and Robinson told me Scales has been doing real good.
