A decent write up on the direction of the program - they say theres a lot of optimism but our schedule is brutal, why couldnt we get that weak schedule that EIU has to play this year as a rebound to their below 500 year last year...

I don't mind negative write-ups, as long as the author gives examples to support their ranking. This, along with the Omaha newspaper article in another thread, are good examples of proffessional sports journalism. ESPN and CBS take note.
We will get rid of OU and Texas next year....
Iowa will probably win 8-9 games this year unless of something major happening.

Most Likely Losses:
@ Wisconsin, @Penn State
Cap one or Outback bowl again....I hope we get can take advantage of our schedule next year. Our problem is that 9-10 wins might now get us to that great of a bowl.
Example: Texas wins the conference and goes to BCS. If Oklahoma, A&M, Nebraska all finish with 8-10 wins also they get picked over us which would make us 5th. Iowa doesn't have to battle the South Teams for Bowl Games. I guess we need to start and just getting back to 6 or 7 wins again.
