Iowa State's Secondary
Any word on how your secondary has been progressing during training camp?

Re: Iowa State's Secondary
It's still cloudy. Allen Bell was supposed to be competing for the starting postition, but apparently doesn't like to put everything into it until game time. Zac Sandvig and Drenard Williams have been given a lot of reps with the 1st team in practice, but Chizik insists that this still doesn't mean much until the season starts.
From what I hear, it sounds like it'll be only a slight upgrade from last year. They've been able to pick quite a bit of passes from practice reports, but that doesn't mean too much. (Who knows if they were going against the 2nd team offense or not?) Until they see the field, there's no telling how the secondary will play.

The way the Des Moines media covers training camp, you'd never know training camp was taking place for both ISU & Iowa.

It's not going to matter if our D-Line doesn't get more pressure on the quarterback.
A good pass rush will turn a good secondary into a great secondary. We saw the other side of that coin last season.

That should account for a significant improvement in the secondary Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

The NFL has "training camps" that people from all over go to see, the media covers, and people hand out for autographs; college just has football practice. I wouldn't expect much media coverage for college football practices. Maybe in obsessed states like FL & TX, but...

Doesn't Iowa St have a "fan day" were fans can come and get autographs and take pictures of their favorite player(s)?
