how did the running backs look in the scrimage? Any guess on starters? I keep seeing Scales name, but the practice reports never mention him.

Every year newcomers have a hard time cracking the starting lineup before game one. Starters really dont matter as much as who gets the playing time for the first game. Im captain obvious I know, but Im more curious to see how the starting lineup will look about the time UNI or Iowa roll into town.

Really tough to say, I think all three remain in the mix. I will stick to the prediction that Bass, is starter by Big 12. Can't tell at this point who will line up on 8/30. I think it may depend on the formation we open in. I will say that Alexander Robinson is more in the mix than I thought before Saturday.
