WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
C.C. = Colon Cleansing :confused:
I apologize in advance, I realize this is WAY off topic and probably has no place here, but I'm curious after seeing an show late last night on the subject; has anyone ever been through a colon cleansing? And what was the experience like?
Re: WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
Do you mean a colon scope? If so, it's no big deal.
Re: WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
I think he is talking about the infomercials where they talk about the all natural ingredients to cleanse your bowl.
I have never tried it, but I had to have a colonoscapy once and it was a very unpleasant experience lol
Re: WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
I'm referring to the a series of pills or whatever you take for a week or a month and well... it "cleans you out" supposedly... sounds extremely unpleasant yet very beneficial, but you never know from watching an infomercial :-S

You're right, and you're right

I have this experience every time I eat to many cashews!
Re: WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
If you or anyone you know is considering a colon procedure, it might be a good idea to be aware of potential kidney damage from some of the laxative products used to prep patients. I'm not a doctor nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but this information in the link will make me ask some hard questions if I ever were to consider a colon test.

A cheaper way to go about this is to eat a whole bunch of those little sugar free hard candies. The package says "consuming too many may have a laxative effect". "May" evidently means "will" and it "will" strike you like a bat out of hell, and you "will" feel like you are in the process of giving birth to the spawn of satan.

I made the parenting mistake of offering some sugar-free candies to my then 2 yr. old as a reward for successful toilet training. Let's just say that the candy set him back some on this goal...
Re: WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
This seems to at least partially answer your question -- Colon cleansing: Is it helpful or harmful?
Re: WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
What I can't get over is that there are actually luxury resorts that offer "colonics" that are frequented by hollywood types including some A-listers. Imagine spending big bucks to crap your brains out and have your colon "purified".
What a waste!

If your paying for the waste you might as well get as much as you can!
Re: WARNING: UNPLEASANT TOPIC - "C.C"
I would more expect to see threads of this type on an EIU message board.
